Brazil will be the first South American country to host the FIFA Women's World Cup.
A landmark tournament across Brazil
The FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 takes place from 24 June to 25 July. It will be the first edition hosted in South America, with 32 teams playing 64 matches across Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo.
The match schedule is already available. Brazil’s opening match is set for the Maracanã in Rio on 24 June, and the final is scheduled for the same stadium on 25 July. You can base a trip in one host city or follow a team through several stops. Check the official FIFA schedule (opens in a new tab) before choosing dates; fixtures are spread across the country.
Choosing a host city
Each city offers a different trip. Rio pairs football with beaches and mountain scenery; São Paulo and Brasília are major urban hubs, while the other hosts bring their own food, coast and local culture. Distances are considerable, so pick a cluster of matches and leave a buffer day when moving between cities.
If the opening match or final is your priority, start with Rio and compare accommodation near the stadium and transport links. Browse stays in Rio de Janeiro (opens in a new tab). For matches elsewhere, book in the city that fits your fixture plan.
Tickets and updates
FIFA publishes current ticket and hospitality details on its Brazil 2027 tournament page (opens in a new tab). Check the official match schedule (opens in a new tab) for updates. Confirm local transport, stadium entry rules and session times before travelling.
